Federation (HKYDF)
The Hong Kong Young Dentist Federation (HKYDF) makes every effort to comply with and implement the requirements set out in the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. We ensure that the storage and handling of personal privacy and personal data are fully protected, accurate, and properly stored. To ensure you fully understand the criteria for providing personal data to the Association, please read this code carefully.
1. Purpose of Collection and Usage Criteria
- HKYDF will use the personal data in accordance with the purposes stated at the time of collection.
- Providing personal data to the Association is entirely voluntary. However, if you fail to provide sufficient information, the Association may be unable to effectively process your application or provide the relevant services.
- The Association may use your personal data (including your name, telephone number, fax, email, mailing address, etc.) to handle necessary registration procedures, such as post-registration communication, processing applications, issuing receipts, research/analysis/statistics, fundraising, opinion collection, dental service follow-ups, providing the latest dental-related information, and other matters related to HKYDF projects.
- You may request that the Association cease using your personal data for the promotional purposes at any time, free of charge.
- HKYDF will not provide your personal data to any third party for purposes unrelated to the Association without your prior consent, nor will we sell or transfer your personal data to any third party.
2. Accessing, Updating, and Opting Out of Personal Data Usage
Except for exemptions stipulated in the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to request access to, correction of, and cessation of the use of your personal data held by HKYDF for promotional purposes (excluding data that has been deleted after the purpose of collection has been fulfilled). Such requests should be made in writing to:
